💡 What is Titan Network?

Titan Network is a digital resource network that incentivizes matching community idle resources with global demand, making it easy for everyone to leverage the power of DePIN services and participate in the construction of the Internet of Value. Titan Network develops a universal DePIN service platform for the community to direct or deploy hardware to offer fungible digital resources, such as compute, storage, and bandwidth. Built-in economic incentives and network design ensure that the community is rewarded for the committed resources while end-users receive high-quality results at the reliability level of modern cloud solutions. Open-source and low-barrier-to-enter platform enables the ecosystem to participate in the construction of the Internet of value and benefit from it.

Titan Network is a Layer 1 blockchain that coordinates the community-built fog resource network. It is powered by the Edge node container technology compatible with ultra-lightweight hardware, like cell phones or edge devices, and powerful Guardian nodes that can do heavy-lifting computation tasks. Together they are orchestrated by the Validator nodes that run consensus and scheduler tasks on the Titan Blockchain. This structure allows the provision of traditional cloud services in a decentralized and open-source environment, as well as enables new DePIN services like hot storage, CDN acceleration and Verifiable Random Functions. Titan Network also offers novel trusted storage and trusted container execution environments on top of the decentralized network.

Titan Network's story begins in the middle of 2021 as the first project to build the retrieval layer and CDN solution for Filecoin. In early 2022, Titan Network was awarded one of the largest grants of Million from the Protocol Labs to develop the tooling for the ecosystem. Together with delivering milestones for the grant, the Titan team realized there is a greater potential for utilizing idle resources on the community side beyond just the provision of a hot storage layer. Ever since then, the team has been dedicating themselves to building a full-resource DePIN network and has received recognition both from the Filecoin ecosystem and leading Web3 startup programs like HK Cyberport.

As the first step, we build a DePIN platform for the aggregation of fungible digital resources, like compute, storage and bandwidth. We enable the ecosystem to utilize the full potential of its physical infrastructure and get rewarded for sharing the resources they have. The ultimate vision is to become the one-stop-shop platform for DePIN services both on the contributor and consumer side.
